territory offers encounters with boundaries, cosmic figures, dark forces, partnership, and new worlds. Guardians and Agents confront each other among stars, mist, barriers, wire, and flight—a lush combination of immersive cinematography, dance, animation, visual effects, science fiction, fantasy, and even a touch of horror.
territory is an artistically accessible, 12 minute virtual reality experience, designed for PC and for the Meta Quest 3 headset. territory can be experienced as an installation with PC and headsets alone or as an installation with an external haptic sculpture that surrounds the user.
territory is a groundbreaking, disability-centered VR experience directed by Kiira Benz and Alice Sheppard. It features performances by Jerron Herman, Laurel Lawson and Sheppard; scenography by Michael Maag; sound design and spatial mix by Q Department; sound technology by Mach1; and access design by Lawson and Sheppard.
